KTEMB-EMO Protocol
Within the scope of the statute to be prepared with reference to the Electrical Contractors Association law, the Chamber of Electrical Engineers and the Electrical Contractors Association, which is classified as Electrical Contractors, reached an agreement and took some decisions in the meeting held in EMO on 12 March 2007.
As a result of this agreement, the classifications to be made in the statutes and regulations to be issued with reference to the KTEMB Law will be as follows.
Even though it is within the scope of 4th class, 3rd class or 2nd class Contractor, the kVA authority in the EMO authorization certificate is in accordance with the KTEMB law; Those above the kVA authority limits stipulated in the relevant contracting class; Provided that the relevant member renews the KTEMB authorization certificate every year for works that do not require institutional support, for works that can be done by one or two people or temporary workforce, and for works that do not require institutional modifications (for example, commissioning of chillers, generators, industrial machines or engines). They can perform work up to the scope of the EMO authorization certificate.
a) 4th Class Contractor: They can carry out residential, industrial and motor installations up to 3 x 63 Amperes, depending on the scope of the authorization certificate received from EMO and their branch (residential or industrial). However, if the scope of the authorization certificate obtained from EMO is 100kVA and above, residences up to 3 x 100 Amperes. They can do industrial and engine installations.
b) 3rd Class Contractor 'They can carry out residential + industrial installations up to 3 x 200 Amperes, depending on the scope of the authorization certificate they receive from EMO and their branch (residential or industrial).
c) 2nd class contractor: They can carry out residential + industrial installations up to 3 x 630 Amperes, depending on the scope of the authorization certificate they receive from EMO and their branch (residential or industrial).
d) 1st class contractor. They can install unlimited residences + 5 according to the scope and branch (residential or industrial) of the authorization certificate they receive from EMO.
