MINISTER HASİPOĞLU MET WITH OFFICIALS OF THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION

Minister of Labour and Social Security, Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu, held a meeting with the Board Members of the Cyprus Turkish Electrical Contractors Association.

During the meeting, occupational health and safety practices within the scope of electrical contracting activities, as well as the problems caused by electrical works carried out by unregistered individuals, were discussed, and possible solutions were put forward.

In his remarks, Minister Hasipoğlu emphasized that occupational health and safety is one of the state’s top priorities. He stated that it was decided to establish a committee involving the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, the Ministry of Education, and the Cyprus Turkish Electrical Contractors Association to address the training and certification of foreign individuals in the electrical sector.

Hasipoğlu said, “In a high-risk sector such as electricity, it is not possible to accept non-standard and unregulated practices. We will continue to act in cooperation with sector representatives throughout this process.”
