KTEMB Visits the Ministry of National Education: Preparations for a Joint Vocational Training Project
The Board of Directors of the Cyprus Turkish Electrical Contractors Association (KTEMB) paid a visit to the Minister of National Education, Nazım Çavuşoğlu, and held an important meeting focused on improving training, quality, and standards in the electrical sector.
The KTEMB delegation, led by President Türkay Uzun Sılalı, included Vice President Celal Hasan Cin, Treasurer Mertsan Direl, Education Officer Barım Erdoğan, Social Affairs Officer Özden Gençalp, and Administrative Officer Osman Asilzade. Sinem Galipoğlu, an expert from the Department of Vocational and Technical Education, was also present at the meeting.
During the meeting, discussions focused on enhancing occupational safety, improving service quality, and raising standards in the electrical sector. In this context, the certification of personnel working in member companies through structured training programs was addressed. The parties reached a consensus to work on a joint project between KTEMB and the Department of Vocational and Technical Education, aimed at providing various training programs under the Ministry’s vocational training initiatives for individuals who do not hold any formal authorization or certification.
In his statement, Türkay Uzun Sılalı emphasized that this cooperation would significantly contribute not only to increasing the number of qualified professionals in the sector but also to creating a safer and more sustainable working environment. He also expressed his expectation that this initiative would serve as a strong new addition to the ongoing education-focused collaborations between the Ministry of National Education and KTEMB.
