KTEMB Holds Its 3rd Regional Meeting in Famagusta

The third regional meeting organized by the Cyprus Turkish Electrical Contractors Association (KTEMB) was held in Famagusta. A large number of members operating in Famagusta and the surrounding areas attended this leg of the meeting series, which was launched to bring together members from different regions, listen to the challenges faced in the sector on site, and develop possible solutions.

The meeting, chaired by KTEMB President Türkay Uzun Sılalı, included comprehensive discussions on recent developments in the electrical contracting sector, the problems members encounter in the field, and the ongoing work carried out by the Association.

Key topics discussed during the meeting included unregistered electrical contracting activities, bicommunal initiatives, minimum unit prices, social activities, strengthening professional inspections, and the needs of the sector. Members had the opportunity to take the floor and share the issues they experience in the field as well as their suggestions for solutions with the Board of Directors.

Members were also informed about the Association’s recent engagements with public institutions, ongoing vocational training and certification efforts, and the steps planned to improve quality and safety standards in the sector.

KTEMB officials emphasized that regional meetings help strengthen direct communication with members and provide an important platform for developing joint solutions to the sector’s common challenges. The meeting concluded with an exchange of views and an evaluation of members’ suggestions.

It was also stated that KTEMB will continue to meet with its members in different regions and that the feedback and suggestions gathered from these meetings will continue to guide the Association’s future work.
