Grounding in Electrical Installations Discussed in Detail

Grounding practices, safety and legislation were addressed at the Grounding Seminar organized in cooperation with KTEMB, ETMD and EMO.

The Grounding Seminar, organized through the cooperation of the Turkish Cypriot Electrical Contractors Association (KTEMB), the Electrical Installation Engineers Association (ETMD) and the Chamber of Turkish Cypriot Electrical Engineers (EMO), was held the other day at the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce Conference Hall.

The seminar, which took place between 10:00 and 16:15, attracted strong participation from KTEMB and EMO members, technical staff of electrical contracting companies, as well as electrical department teachers from vocational high schools.

At the opening of the seminar, KTEMB President Türkay Uzun Sılalı, EMO Board Member İbrahim Aysal and ETMD President Cemil Topak delivered brief speeches. In their remarks, the speakers emphasized the importance of inter-institutional cooperation and highlighted the critical role of grounding in electrical installations in terms of life and property safety.

Following the opening speeches, the seminar continued in four sessions. In the first three sessions, ETMD representative and Electrical Engineer Emre Metin delivered technical presentations titled “Grounding in Electrical Installations.” After the lunch break, the fourth and final session featured a presentation by EMO representative and Electrical Engineer Osman Eminel on the laws and regulations related to grounding.

At the closing of the seminar, Emre Metin and Osman Eminel were presented with plaques of appreciation on behalf of KTEMB and EMO in recognition of their contributions.
