Visit from KTEMB to Gazimağusa Municipality: Steps Toward Strengthened Cooperation

A delegation from the Cyprus Turkish Electrical Contractors Association (KTEMB), led by President Türkay Uzun Sılalı, paid a courtesy and cooperation visit to Gazimağusa Mayor Dr. Süleyman Uluçay.
President Sılalı was accompanied by Board Members Barım Erdoğan and Özden Gençalp, as well as KTEMB Administrative Officer Osman Asilzade. During the visit, the parties discussed strengthening the existing relations between KTEMB and Gazimağusa Municipality and developing areas of joint work.

In the statement made by KTEMB, it was noted that the meeting focused particularly on exchanging views regarding possible initiatives to help meet the sector’s need for qualified labor, with the support of member companies, by integrating students from the Mağusa Apprenticeship Training Center’s electrical department into the profession.

The meeting also addressed opportunities for KTEMB to provide technical contributions to Gazimağusa Municipality’s energy efficiency projects. Additionally, the processes for notifying the Municipality — during the application stage — of the company that will undertake the electrical contracting works of construction projects within municipal boundaries were discussed.

The visit is expected to further deepen the institutional cooperation between KTEMB and Gazimağusa Municipality and lay the groundwork for new joint projects.
