UPS and Voltage Regulators” Seminar Held Successfully
The technical seminar titled “UPS and Voltage Regulators,” organized by the Cyprus Turkish Electrical Contractors Association (KTEMB), was held the day before yesterday at the Taner Akcan Apprenticeship and Adult Education Center. The event, aimed at improving power quality, preventing voltage fluctuations, and enhancing reliability in energy infrastructure, took place with the participation of KTEMB members and technical personnel.
At the seminar, Dr. Hüseyin Hacı, a well-respected expert in the field, delivered a presentation and shared important insights on power quality, voltage regulation technologies, and practical field applications.
KTEMB President Türkay Uzun Sılalı, in his opening remarks, emphasized the vital importance of power quality in modern electrical infrastructures and stated:
“Power quality has become a critical requirement for both businesses and individual users today. Increasing technological dependence, the widespread use of sensitive electronic devices, and the growing need for uninterrupted energy clearly demonstrate that power quality is no longer a preference but a necessity. Voltage fluctuations and uncontrolled voltage variations in particular can lead to economic losses, device malfunctions, and reduced operational efficiency.”
Sılalı added that KTEMB prioritizes raising awareness in the sector and aligning technical standards with best practices, noting:
“Every training program we organize serves not only professional development but also contributes to building a more reliable, sustainable, and modern electrical infrastructure in our country.”
The seminar concluded with a question-and-answer session. Participants emphasized the importance of such trainings for the ongoing development of the sector.
