KTEMB: The individual mentioned in the Gönyeli incident is not an authorized electrical contractor!
PRESS RELEASE
KTEMB: The individual mentioned in the Gönyeli incident is not an authorized electrical contractor!
The Cyprus Turkish Electrical Contractors Association (KTEMB) would like to draw public attention to the fact that Bülent Çolak, whose name appeared in media reports yesterday claiming that he committed theft while visiting a house in Gönyeli to perform electrical work, is not a member of our Association and has no legal authorization to carry out electrical works.
KTEMB would like to once again remind the public that Association membership can only be obtained by individuals who hold a university degree in electrical-related fields or have successfully passed the official qualification examination. Therefore, in order to ensure both public safety and the protection of citizens’ rights, it is of utmost importance to verify whether a person is a registered KTEMB member before commissioning any electrical work.
To prevent such unfortunate incidents, we strongly emphasize that no electrical work should be entrusted to anyone who is not a registered member of our Association. Citizens can easily check the list of authorized electrical contractors on our official website: www.ktemb.org.
Respectfully announced to the public,
On behalf of the Cyprus Turkish Electrical Contractors Association (KTEMB)
 Türkay Uzun Sılalı – President
